Health Center Tabor

The global healthcare landscape is becoming flat. New trends as well as medical procedures once unique to institution, are now days performed in every region and spread faster than ever before. Healthcare is becoming transnational as well subordinated to regulation rules. The notion of proposal strives to challenge, first and foremost promote community health through design and ecological responsibility.

The proposal of new health center does recognize function and spatial program within the context of design in specific urbanity. The principle of rational facade reacts on ultimate, reach diverse urban structure. On other hand the concept tent to acquire a better operative understanding of the work progress, sustain the limited capacity of human resources in the context of entity goals and environmental ecology. The form of the building offer equivalent relation to representative inner-cites site between the Magdalena Park and High school campus for Medical treatment. Here the architects made a conscious decision to shun the normal practice setup, replacing it with a spectacular open space that brings the natural light inside the volume.

After unified design of the structure and its surface, the façade takes strong responsibility for its function that protects the sunlight, allows natural ventilation, and reduce the sight inside the medical rooms. The regular vertical grid of the façade elements perforates the surface into single window elements according which the dividing walls could be adjusted. Basement is divided to singular vegetation fields that reacts on the public park over the street. The corner balanced composition of the building explains the simple logic of the entrance. After entering the lobby, vertical composition of open space with skylight, patients get clear picture of orientation. Corridors as wayfinding axis have got natural light infiltrating the building over the curtain walls and skylight ceiling.
