Villa Rafut in the Lasciac garden
Rafutski Park is a historic park dating back to the era of late Romantic exoticism. Part of the park and the villa were designed by architect Anton Laščak, who spent most of his life working in the Middle East. This is the origin of the oriental feel of the building and the large number of exotic plants that have been planted in the park.
The development area is intended for day visitors to admire the beautiful plants, for daily events in the creative and recreational arts in the Palm Villa facility, for a place for formal and informal meetings with rooms for both large and small meetings in the Laščak Villa facility, for a place for events in the current garage facility, for a place for catering events in the entrance pavilions, and for housing with protection from the weather in the KS facility.
The landscaping and planting would make the park more educational. It would have trees with information and an arboretum character through the selection of trees and shrubs. The first step in deciding what to do in the park should be a tree assessment. After the assessment, we will decide what to do in the “green system,” working together with the cultural heritage and nature conservation services. In any case, the plants of the original design should be the building blocks of the overall landscaping concept.
