SŠTS Ljubljana

As part of the Reconstruction and Renovation of a Part of the Building project, the Šiška Technical Secondary School (ŠTSŠ), as part of its Recovery and Resilience Plan, has undertaken the construction of an extension on the north side of the existing building, providing a much-needed dining hall with a distribution kitchen, a common room and toilets on the ground floor; the first floor is equipped with five modern professional classrooms, a staff office, a meeting room, a common room and toilets. In addition, the basement has been converted into a school archive room, a small fitness room, and a new heating station. At the same time, the project has also enhanced the school’s surroundings, including a new playground and social space for pupils, a new bike shed, and additional parking for staff, equipped with two charging stations that can charge four electric cars simultaneously.

The project aims to provide new space for educational facilities, following the objective of building highly energy-efficient buildings with low primary energy consumption, at least 20% lower than the requirement for a nearly zero-energy building. The DNSH principle shall be taken into account; measures shall be designed in such a way that they do not harm the environment.
