Marie Curie ICTP Library
The ICTP Library wants to stay abreast of the needs of a highly diverse, mobile and dynamic scientific community. ICTP thus intends to redesign its current space into a user-centered Space for Creative Thinking that offers a wide variety of working and learning environments. The mix of work settings will range from meeting rooms with flexible furniture and technical equipment for team and project work up to semi-enclosed spaces for individual work to fully enclosed, soundinsulated rooms for online meetings or quiet study.
All workspaces will be bookable and their availability indicated by an automated place finder system. At any time, library users will be able to choose the work setting that is right for them, depending on their task, mood and personal preference. Simultaneously, the library handles available space at the ICTP efficiently.
